By downloading, installing, or using the Simple Zakat mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Simple Zakat ("we," "our," or "us") regarding your use of the App.

Simple Zakat is a mobile application designed to help Muslims calculate their Zakat obligations according to Islamic principles. The App provides:

• Zakat calculation tools based on Islamic methodology
• Hijri year management for tracking Zakat obligations
• Payment tracking and history management
• Reminder and notification features
• Data export capabilities for personal records

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to download and use this App. This age restriction is enforced through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store age verification systems. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 17 years old and meet all eligibility requirements.

Age Verification: The App Store and Play Store will verify your age before allowing download. We do not collect or store age verification data within the App itself.

5.1 Accurate Information

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate financial information for Zakat calculations
• Verifying the accuracy of all calculations before making Zakat payments

You agree not to use the App for:

All your personal and financial data is stored locally on your device using secure, encrypted storage. We do not collect, store, or have access to your personal financial information on our servers.

6.2 Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the App. You can export, modify, or delete your data at any time through the App's built-in features.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 App Ownership

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Simple Zakat.

7.2 User Content

You retain ownership of all data and content you input into the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data locally on your device to provide the App's functionality.

7.3 Third-Party Content

The App may reference or be based on Islamic teachings and methodologies. Such references are for educational purposes and do not constitute endorsement or partnership unless explicitly stated.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8.2 Religious Accuracy

While we strive to base our calculations on authentic Islamic principles, we cannot guarantee that the App's calculations are appropriate for every individual's specific circumstances. Religious obligations may vary based on personal situations, local customs, and scholarly interpretations.

8.3 Financial Advice

THE APP DOES NOT PROVIDE FINANCIAL, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE. All calculations are for informational purposes only and should not be considered as professional financial or religious advice.

8.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIMPLE ZAKAT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simple Zakat and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. App Store Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you agree to comply with the respective app store's terms of service. These Terms are in addition to, not in place of, the app store terms.

11. Updates and Modifications

11.1 App Updates

We may release updates to the App to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add new features. Updates may be automatic or require manual installation.

11.2 Terms Updates

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the United States, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court to prevent irreparable harm.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Simple Zakat regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
